C3 Convention Invites BIPOC Nonprofit Leaders to Commune, Collaborate, and Celebrate this October

Edison, NJ – September 3, 2024 – The Nonprofit Professionals of Color Collective (NPPOC Collective) is excited to announce the upcoming C3 Convention—Commune, Collaborate, Celebrate—provides a powerful platform for attendees to engage in meaningful discussions, participate in interactive workshops, and build connections with peers dedicated to advancing social causes and dismantling inequitable power structures. 

Senator Angela V. McKnight

We are honored to announce Senator Angela V. McKnight as the Honorary Co-Chair for the convention. Senator McKnight, a tireless advocate for social justice and nonprofit leader, lends her experience and expertise not only as the honorary chair but as a workshop facilitator as well. The conference committee, led by Chair, Tenisha Malcolm-Wint, includes a distinguished group of professionals dedicated to the success of the event including Collective Co-Founders, Victoria M. Fernandez & Tyneisha Gibbs, along with: Joshlyn Crystal Adams, Cynthia Reddrick (New York), Dr. Deja Jones, Dr. Drew Giddings, Jean Trujillo, Jeffrey Banks (Maryland), Jenifer Harris (California), Dr. Kareem Willis,  Melissa Shillingford (New York), Shelja Touri, and Tamika Archer (Virginia).

This significant event, scheduled to take place from October 12-14, 2024, at the APA Woodbridge Hotel in Edison, NJ, will bring together a diverse group of professionals of color from across the nonprofit sector for three days of learning, networking, and celebration. The convention will feature an Awards Gala open to all to celebrate the strides we have made in the sector. Kishshana Palmer, CEO of ManageMint Inc. Kishshana, a renowned expert in leadership development and nonprofit management, will be the host and keynote speaker. She will share her dynamic and inspiring insights, making this gala a highlight of the convention. The convention's comprehensive agenda, featuring keynote speakers, panel discussions, and experiential learning opportunities, aims to foster growth, collaboration, and innovation among BIPOC leaders.

The C3 Convention will feature:

  • Consultant Track: Professional development dedicated to consultants of color, offering interactive workshops, panel discussions, and networking opportunities designed to enhance their skills and expand their networks.

  • Nonprofit Professionals Track: Focused on nonprofit professionals, this track includes plenaries and workshops. 

  • Awards Gala: A celebration, open to all,  to honor those making significant contributions to the sector.

  • Optional Experiential Learning: Attendees can participate in an Executive Shadow Day or enjoy a Golf Lesson & Networking Lunch, providing unique opportunities for personal and professional growth.
